Pay: $50-$55/hr based on experience
Duration: 3 Month Contract
Job Description
We are seeking a Plant Manager to support our team for a sprint project lasting approximately three months, with the possibility of extension. This role requires manufacturing literacy to support operations on the floor when needed and excellent communication skills to liaise with internal management, customers, and the supply chain. Aerospace experience is highly preferred, but medical device experience is also acceptable. There is no degree requirement for this position.
Responsibilities
+ Support the team on the manufacturing floor as needed.
+ Communicate effectively with internal management, customers, and the supply chain.
+ Immediately lead day-to-day activities against an existing master schedule and process.
+ Develop daily and weekly schedules for supervisors.
+ Support customer status calls and recovery plan meetings.
+ Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly shipping targets are met.
+ Operate machines on the manufacturing floor when necessary.
+ Provide support service for aerospace composite production and testing.
+ Recommend and implement process improvements after initial weeks of running the program.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
+ Master scheduling expertise.
+ Ability to operate manufacturing equipment.
+ Strong communication skills with internal management, customers, and the supply chain.
+ 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in supporting customer status calls and past due recovery plan meetings.
+ Experience with process improvement and quality assurance.
+ Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within manufacturing.
+ Ability to work with a team of engineers, quality, and finance management.
Work Environment
This role is based on-site in Everett, WA, within an engineering floor. The company is a small, family-oriented aerospace parts supplier with around 50 employees. The facility specializes in composite parts, exteriors, and other small components for major companies. The work environment is collaborative and supportive, with a focus on growth and process improvement. Expect to work closely with a dedicated team of supervisors, production staff, engineers, and planners in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
