This role includes managing CNC, milling, and lathe machinery operations to ensure production, sales, and quality standards are met. Regular customer communication, business development, and cost management are key aspects. The Plant Manager will also handle hiring, training, and supervising a team of 7. This position requires coordinating closely with the President and Canadian parent company to drive productivity and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 annually plus bonus
Position Overview
The Site In Charge / Plant Manager will be responsible for managing the entire plant, with a focus on technical operations and meeting production targets. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of CNC, milling, and lathe machine operations and must ensure the plant meets its daily and weekly production, sales, and quality goals. They will work collaboratively with the company President and coordinate with the parent company based in Canada.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee plant operations to achieve daily and weekly production targets, while meeting weekly sales goals Regular communication with the Customer on demand and supplies. Work on creating New Business opportunities in the plant. Ensure smooth operation of CNC, milling, and lathe machines, resolving any technical issues that arise Maintain zero QA issues and zero customer complaints through rigorous quality control Lead cost control and reduction initiatives, optimizing resources and managing the budget Plan and oversee manpower, including hiring, development, and training Manage a team of 7 direct reports (2 dotted lines) Collaborate closely with the President and communicate effectively with the parent company in Canada Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, minimize downtime, and reduce costs Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards Prepare and present reports on production performance, cost efficiency, and manpower planning to the leadership team Qualifications: Must have strong technical knowledge of CNC, milling, and lathe machines Proven experience in automobile manufacturing Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred Minimum of 5-7 years in a plant management role with significant responsibility in production and people management Demonstrated ability to meet production, sales, and quality targets consistently Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus Must-Have Skills: Management Skills – Proven leadership in a production environment, handling operations, team management, and coordination with leadership. Technical Knowledge – In-depth understanding of CNC, milling, and lathe machine operations, technical troubleshooting, and quality control. Experience in Automobile Manufacturing – Previous experience in the automotive parts or manufacturing sector, with a track record of delivering production and quality goals.
