Plant Manager
**Job Title: Plant Manager** **Job Description** Provides operations leadership in a sheet manufacturing environment where core competencies include sheet metal and mechanical assemblies for a variety of industries including medical, trucking, and exercise equipment. **Responsibilities** + Manage overall production and activities of a remote facility to ensure objectives in safety, efficiency, volume, cost, and quality are achieved. + Set production schedules, staffing plans and establish key metrics to ensure all activities align with overall facility objectives. + Build an inclusive culture of high integrity, teamwork, commitment to excellence, and customer-focused intensity; coach performance through communication, documentation, and consequences up to termination of employment. + Interview, hire, and recommend wage adjustments for reporting personnel. + Ensure adequate training of employees. + Establish a culture of Continuous Improvement, including Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma Problem Solving, Preventative and Corrective Action processes. + Develop and sustain 5S/Visual workplace organization, including material flow and inventory management tools. + Ensure facility and production equipment are satisfactorily maintained to meet reliability, safety, and efficiency objectives. + Utilize highly developed communication skills to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and synchronicity between internal teams and remote leadership. **Essential Skills** + Lean manufacturing + Six Sigma + Manufacturing process + Continuous improvement + Sheet metal + Metal fabrication + ISO standards **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. + Eight (8) years in a manufacturing environment and 5+ years in a manufacturing leadership role. + Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and creativity required. + A broad understanding of and experience with varied production processes a plus. + Experience in a Metal Fabrication and Assembly environment a plus. + Proven Continuous Improvement track record, with expertise in Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma implementation desirable. + Ability to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations. **Why Work Here?** Eligible for insurance 1st of the month after 30 days, including: choice of two health insurance plans, employer-paid employee dental insurance, employer-paid life insurance, AD&D, and long-term disability plans, vision insurance, additional life insurance, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and federal health and dependent care savings accounts (FSA). The facility is a single-source manufacturer providing turn-key mechanical and electromechanical assembly, sheet metal fabrication, and global sourcing of metal and plastic components. The job is very hands-on and requires knowledge/experience in ramping up production and building out a new plant and team, including maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies and IATF auditing. The work environment emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
