Description

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring production efficiency, quality, safety, and cost control. This role involves managing staff, optimizing production processes, maintaining equipment and facilities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

•\tEnsure products are manufactured within quality standards and specifications.

•\tPlan, organize, and oversee production to meet customer demands and deadlines.

•\tMonitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiency.

2. Leadership and Staff Management

•\tRecruit, train, and supervise employees, including production supervisors, operators, and maintenance staff.

•\tProvide clear directions, set performance expectations, and conduct regular evaluations.

•\tFoster a positive work environment and encourage collaboration among departments.

3. Process Improvement

•\tIdentify areas for process optimization to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance overall efficiency.

•\tImplement lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement initiatives.

4. Budget and Cost Control

•\tMonitor expenses and implement measures to reduce costs while maintaining production quality, e.g. scrap, overtime, and maintenance expenses.

5. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

•\tEnsure adherence to health and safety regulations.

•\tResolve identified safety concerns immediately.

6. Maintenance and Equipment Management

•\tEnsure proper maintenance and servicing of all machinery and equipment.

•\tPlan for equipment upgrades and replacements to minimize downtime.

7. Reporting and Communication

•\tProvide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding production, safety, and financial performance.

•\tCoordinate with other departments, such as logistics, sales, and procurement, to ensure smooth operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

1 week vac first year after 90 days, med, dental and vision, 401K is available as well, working to get additional info as this is a draft req and still being qualified

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Louisville,KY.
