You will lead by example to encourage our teams to uphold our commitments to safety, quality, and LEAN manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, enabling us to exceed industry standards and contribute to advancements that improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability. By prioritizing quality and operational efficiency, you will help us build a sustainable future and set new benchmarks for excellence in our industry. Scope/ Supervision and Interaction __X__ Has Direct Reports •Safety and Efficiency: Pioneer safety protocols and efficiency initiatives to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Your leadership will help us meet regulatory standards and set new benchmarks for operational excellence. •Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production processes across all three shifts while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety. Lead the operations team, including department managers and supervisors, to promote a cohesive and high-performing work environment. •Team Development: Collaborate with plant leaders to foster a culture of empowerment and engagement among employees, promoting a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Invest in team development and training to enhance skills that support our commitment to high quality production. Leverage High Performance Teams to drive collaboration and innovation, ensuring that both employee and leadership engagement are prioritized. Work closely with the onsite HR Manager to implement effective talent management and employee development initiatives that align with our organizational goals. •Commitment to Quality: Champion our commitment to quality by implementing rigorous quality control measures and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborate closely with the Plant Quality and Engineering Teams to enhance manufacturing processes, ensuring every product reflects our dedication to excellence and reliability. Continuous Improvement Culture: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the plant by actively learning and operationalizing the Parker Hannifin Lean Manufacturing System. Encourage employees at all levels to embrace lean principles, fostering an environment where innovative ideas are welcomed, and efficiency is prioritized. Implement lean methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational performance, ensuring that continuous improvement becomes an integral part of our daily operations. •Performance Metrics and P&L Responsibility: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational performance and ensure alignment with our goals in quality, efficiency, and safety. Manage the plant’s Profit and Loss (P&L) statement to meet financial targets, developing and implementing strategies that optimize production costs, enhance profitability, and improve overall financial performance. • Driving Innovation: Lead initiatives that promote innovation and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Encourage the team to develop solutions that not only meet but exceed customer expectations, thereby empowering our customers to thrive. Support organizational growth by driving strategic initiatives that align with our vision for innovation, ensuring that our efforts contribute to long-term success and competitive advantage. •Impact on Society: Acknowledge the vital role our products play across various industries by ensuring our operations contribute positively to advancements in efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production goals with our mission of creating a sustainable future through high-quality products that benefit both communities and the environment. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in plastic extrusion or a similar industry. Strong understanding of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Excellent leadership and team-building skills with a focus on empowering employees. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a commitment to driving innovation.
