Plant Manager
Job Title: Plant ManagerJob Description This role involves overseeing machine shop and fabrication shop operations, mechanical assembly, and shipping/receiving functions, including crate building. The Plant Manager will manage and schedule workflow to ensure timely assembly, address equipment issues, and support operational oversight, continuous improvement, cost optimization, team leadership, stakeholder collaboration, safety, compliance, and resource management. Responsibilities + Oversee machine shop, fabrication shop, mechanical assembly, and shipping/receiving functions. + Schedule workflow and ensure timely assembly of parts. + Address and resolve equipment issues to maintain efficient operations. + Provide operational oversight and drive continuous improvement and cost optimization. + Lead and develop a positive and productive team environment. + Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication. + Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and housekeeping standards. + Manage resources and costs effectively. Essential Skills + Experience in custom and capital equipment manufacturing. + Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate work in a shop environment. + Strong leadership and team management skills. + Experience with continuous improvement methodologies. + Familiarity with ERP systems and ability to navigate within them. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). + 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within an ETO organization. + Super positive attitude and ability to project a positive image of the organization. Work Environment The position is primarily office-based but requires the ability to work in the shop as needed. The shop environment may expose the employee to fumes, heat, and airborne particles, with a moderately loud noise level. Safety equipment such as safety glasses and safety toe work shoes must be worn while interacting with the shop. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
