Additionally, in 2024 we were awarded the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, which recognizes the most engaged workplace cultures in the world._ **Primary Responsibilities:** **Leadership** ▪ Manage the operation in line with the business strategy and goals and take full responsibility for the safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory of the OEM plants based in Altona and Brooklyn ▪ Implement and maintain lean six sigma principles in all departments of responsibility to ensure optimal productivity, quality, cash flow and workflow. ▪ Maintain an awareness of modern work practices and systems. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by auditing current practices and implementing process enhancements. ▪ Lead and support your team (and departments) to achieve business goals by managing performance, staff training, driving employee engagement initiatives and providing corrective action. Ensure department leaders are held accountable for effective leadership of their teams. ▪ Complete organisational reviews for people, processes, equipment etc. Communicate your ideas in management and planning discussions and provide input into annual budgets. ▪ Manage payroll requirements and lead wage and contract negotiations for individual and collective agreements within scope of responsibility. ▪ Develop options and plans for the development of the plants over strategic long range and in the short terms with detailed planning for AOP. **Factory** ▪ Ensure all departments within the factory are streamlined and functioning at full capacity to support business plans and customer requirements. ▪ Prepare and maintain accurate Bill of Materials and Routings and inventory standard costs. ▪ Manage direct labour costs to achieve minimum recovery of 90%. ▪ Implement and maintain fundamental continuous improvement and feedback processes according to lean six sigma principles in all departments of responsibility. Manage MDI boards and Mission Control Board to ensure communication of vision and link directly with employee actions and day to day improvement activity. ▪ Fully support and implement core processes for management of quality through the production processes strengthening control points and feedback of information to drive problem solving and improvement of quality at source. ▪ Implement and maintain a total preventive maintenance program, ensuring plant equipment, tooling and facilities are stringently maintained as per TPM program. ▪ Full engagement with functional peers in quality, safety and planning to ensure that the plant meets goals in these areas. ▪ Participate fully in the SIOP activities and ensure that appropriate supply plans are in place to meet the demand plans and financial goals of the business. **Warehouse** ▪ Ensure warehouse operations are effectively maintained to deliver optimal service output for the business and its customers. This includes but is not limited to: Strong controls for inventory accuracy, completeness and security. Ensuring processes for cycle counting, stock-taking and OSMI management are completed effectively. o Order processing metrics are achieved o Manage suppliers to ensure optimal service delivery and cost. **Health & Safety** ▪ Oversee health and safety initiatives across the organisation, ensuring compliance will all health and safety related regulations.
