Plant Manager
Job Description: Plant Manager We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Manager with 3-5 years of experience in running a plating/metal finishing shop. The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP systems and previous experience working with AS9100 quality management systems within a manufacturing environment. CEF and/or CAF certification is preferred, and NADCAP experience is a plus. The candidate must have some level of experience or training in conducting internal audits and interpreting audit results. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and data management software is required. Bilingual candidates are preferred. A four-year degree is preferred, but candidates with a two-year degree will also be considered. Responsibilities + Oversee the daily operations of the plant, ensuring production targets are achieved. + Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement. + Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise in the production process. + Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and reduce costs. + Interface regularly with customers to address quality concerns and ensure satisfaction. + Assist in implementing, maintaining, and improving the Company's AS9100 compliant QMS, including policies, procedures, and documentation. + Work with the quality assurance team to ensure all products meet the highest quality standards and customer specifications. + Implement and maintain quality control processes to minimize defects and rework. + Assist in identifying quality issues, their root causes, and implementing corrective and/or preventative actions. + Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures. + Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations. + Conduct regular safety audits and address any identified hazards. + Generate reports on quality metrics and compliance status to management. + Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of technicians and engineers. + Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and continuous learning. + Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. + Provide training to employees on quality standards, procedures, and documentation. Essential Skills + 3-5 years of experience running a plating/metal finishing shop/heat treat. + Experience with ERP systems. + Previous experience working with AS9100 quality management systems within a manufacturing environment. + Experience or training in conducting internal audits and interpreting audit results. + Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and data management software. Additional Skills & Qualifications + CEF and/or CAF certification preferred. + NADCAP experience is a plus. + Bilingual candidates preferred. + Four-year degree preferred, but candidates with a two-year degree will also be considered. + Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Quality assurance, Supervision, Management skills, plating, heat treatment, ERP system, Continuous improvement, Production, Process improvement, Operation, Plant management.
