Position Description
This position is a Compressor Mechanic position at the Yates Field Unit. The position is geared toward a person with a detailed background in compressor maintenance, including troubleshooting and diagnosis of compressor and engine problems. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operations of the compression facilities.
The Yates Field Compression fleet consists of a number of slow speed reciprocating Clark TLAB-6 (2000 hp units), Ingersoll KVS and KVSR, five electric driven Dresser-Rand HHE-VL-3 (5500 hp units), four electric driven Ariel JGZ/6 (5500hp) plus one high speed Caterpillar 3608 driven Ariel compressor. The fleet also contains three turbine driven Solar and Delaval centrifugal compressors (3750 hp and 4250 hp units). The main purpose of these compressors is to compress raw produced gas for further processing or reinjection into the Yates Field Reservoir
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot compressors and auxiliary equipmentPM’s of compression equipmentOversight and/or support of compressor overhaulsDaily maintenance activities such as adding oil, water, lubrication, etc.Manually operate valves as operations dictateLockout tagout and permitting duties for maintenance workInteract with supervision, compressor operators, and contract personnelIdentify, report, and correct safety and environmental concernsComplete appropriate documentation and paperworkProvide oral and written communication of activities to appropriate personnelAid with training of mechanic helpersAid with startup of compressors during operational upsetsMay be asked to perform maintenance on other mechanical equipment in the Yates Field including pumps, cooling fans, etc.Operate company vehicles during daily activities*Job level commensurate with experience and skill set.
Position Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Working conditions/Physical Demands:
