Key tasks include the installation, servicing, and repair of pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, valves, chemical lines, and tanks. Duties and Responsibilities + Install, repair, and maintain blowers, motors, valves, pumps, and other equipment. + Perform lubrication tasks such as oiling, greasing, and applying other lubricants to equipment. + Operate welding equipment for repairing and patching metal pipes. + Repair pumps, including repacking stuffing boxes and bearings. + Rebuild or repair gearboxes, gears, seals, and bearings. + Complete additional tasks as assigned. Education, Experience, Licensing + High school diploma or GED, with 6 months of work experience in public utilities (water, sewer, gas, plumbing, electrical, telecommunications, or a related field). + Must complete and pass the FDEP Level 3 Water Distribution System Operator License training and exam within two years of hire. + Requires possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
