What You'll Do
+ Monitor Plant Performance: Actively monitor and assess plant performance to ensure optimal efficiency, functionality, and safety standards.
+ Quality Control Unit Membership: Qualify as a key member of our QCU (Quality Control Unit), ensuring all operations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
+ FDA Compliance: Ensure adherence to FDA compliance programs, following cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and UIG's internal quality systems.
+ Routine Inspections: Conduct rounds, surveying plant operations, grounds, and equipment. Take readings on critical systems, observe functionality, and document any abnormalities for corrective action.
+ Continuous Training & Process Knowledge: Stay current with QMS (Quality Management System) updates, process-related procedures, and training to uphold regulatory and company standards.
+ Control & Quality Assurance Equipment: Use quality assurance tools and equipment, including process analyzers and gas chromatographs, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
+ Calibration Standards Maintenance: Use calibration standards, including inspection, testing, and measurement equipment, as well as calibration gas cylinders. Perform routine analytical calibrations and adjustments.
+ Technical Expertise: Read and interpret technical drawings, PIDs, manuals, and documentation to support plant operations and maintenance.
+ Planned Maintenance Tasks: Safely execute planned maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment and systems are functioning optimally and safely.
+ Cross-Site Support: Provide assistance and technical support to other UIG locations across the country as required, contributing to a unified approach to quality and operations.
What You'll Need
+ Education & Experience: Associates degree, technical school certification, or relevant military or technical experience in the industrial gas industry, or experience in related continuous process facilities.
+ Electrical & Instrumentation Experience: general knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment in process plant environments.
+ Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
+ Overtime & On-Call Requirements: Availability to work overtime as required, with shared on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule.
+ Self-Motivated & Independent: Ability to work independently and take initiative
+ Physical Requirements: Comfortable working safely at heights up to 200 feet and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
+ Hand Tool Proficiency: Ability to use basic hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc., to perform maintenance and repairs.
