Plant Operator
Location: Durham, NC
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Job Description:
In this role, you will operate and maintain equipment for gas pumping and repackaging into cylinders. You'll conduct essential pre-fill and post-fill inspections, ensuring cylinders meet safety standards before release. Maintenance and upkeep of pumping apparatus and associated equipment will be central to your responsibilities. Filling cylinders accurately and maintaining proper pressure or weight levels will be critical to ensure compliance. Accurate record-keeping and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations will be key components of your tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with gas cylinder operations, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
Physical capability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
Ability to read and interpret cylinder labels, color codes, and follow standard procedures.
Skilled in managing paperwork to DOT, FDA, and OSHA standards.
Dedication to maintaining a neat and orderly work environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
Ability to adapt to varying temperature conditions.
Willingness to assist with loading/unloading, inventory, housekeeping, and customer service tasks.
Opportunity to serve as a backup Driver if qualified.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
0 - 1 year of operations or production experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Valid forklift operator's license.
Ability to lift 25 - 60 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
Comfortable working in varied environmental conditions.
Proficiency in reading and comprehending Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Capacity to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
Willingness to work occasional overtime.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace.
