Job Title: Shift Employee - Control Room and Outside Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled shift employee responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all plant systems and equipment. This 500 MW gas-fired peaking facility utilizes 5 GE LMS100 gas turbines.

ResponsibilitiesPerform the required activities of the Control Room Operator and Outside Operator while working with other assigned personnel in a professional manner.Operate, maintain, and monitor the performance of all equipment.Test and treat plant water to ensure optimal performance.Create and maintain detailed plant records.Extensive use of personal computers and distributed control systems to monitor plant operations.Essential SkillsControl room operations.Operation and maintenance of plant systems and equipment.Mechanical operation and maintenance skills.Performance monitoring of all equipment.Testing and treatment of plant water.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in gas or steam turbines with a detailed overall knowledge of power plant equipment and its operation, including theory.Ability to read and comprehend extensive written procedures for the operation and maintenance of the plant.Basic understanding of mathematics.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Industrial Electrical Producing Operation at a gas-fired peaking facility with 5 GE LMS100 gas turbines. The role involves extensive use of personal computers and distributed control systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Orange County, California

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00
