The Generalist Process Operator II will perform a variety of responsibilities, in production facility assigned areas, including operating mechanical machinery and equipment, performing maintenance and troubleshooting issues, utilizing a broad understanding of varied and multi-dimensional processes. In this role, you will be assigned different work areas as needed to ensure production goals are met, support production of quality product and maximize throughput while following all safety and regulatory polices.
Key Accountabilities Operate equipment and technology tools in assigned areas of the production facility, backfilling prior areas as needed and utilize a broad understanding of policies and procedures with regular guidance to perform required duties. Perform variety of responsibilities in identified areas that may include loading and unloading bulk materials, packaging, terminal operations, mixing, monitoring computerized control systems and making machine processing adjustments. Broaden operating procedures knowledge, receive input from peers and provide feedback on clarity and effectiveness of guidance, including procedure documentation. Perform maintenance and troubleshoot machine and equipment issues, making adjustments as necessary. Record production and inventory activities in computerized systems. Operate mobile powered equipment (i.e. forklift, skid loader, sit down floor sweeper, front end loader). Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures, maintain a safe and clean work environment and control work pace and progress on assigned equipment and processes, requiring awareness of links with other process areas. • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, may be required to lift up to 50lbs occasionally, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Basic use of a computer
• Must be able to work in various weather, industrial and agricultural settings
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• May require a valid Canadian full class 5 driver’s licence in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during your employment
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice
• Basic mechanical aptitude
