Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Main Mission

The role of a reengineering and process improvement specialist is to:

Evaluate and optimize logistics flows and processesImprove efficiency, reduce costs

He/she will focus on standard freight; road, air, sea freight.


Specific activities

Collaborate with other team members to identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to optimize delivery operationsConduct a comprehensive review of the logistics flows and processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.Identify areas for improvement and develop a roadmap for optimizing logistics operations including changes to systems, processes, and policiesIdentify and animate expert networks to support the deployment of the division roadmaps (i.e. packaging improvement, business systems key users, …)Define and implement improvement and convergence plans in coordination with operations, transport organization and division/Business Group support functions,Set up the means to achieve the action plan (under PC&L manager guidance), propose solutions and ensure the proper follow up & reporting to ease the full implementation on time Communicate Improvement initiatives: train and coach plant employees when necessary and carry out progress workshops in accordance with the plant PC&L manager.Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization, and develop metrics to track progressContinuously monitor and evaluate logistics operations to identify opportunities for further optimizationControl the accuracy of data in the Transport Management System (packaging, lead-time, distances, costs, …); Ensure correction are done by the adequate department when discrepancies are identified Create and maintain transport and service agreements with the carriersMonitor & report actual and forecasted cost performance vs Budget/Standard cost on a weekly basisSupport the implementation of new tools, systems and processesContribute to the definition and implementation of new transport concepts

Propose to each plant the target transportation scheme (frequency, lead time) for each routes, define JNI and standard transportation cost accordingly, submit forecasts to plants ( RM inventories, Transportations costs)Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate will have/be:
