Job Summary
The Plant Process Specialist is responsible for ensuring the proper process conditions are issued to manufacturing, alerts the manufacturing team to process deviations, and updates the database with changes in process conditions. The Process Specialist is a participant on the manufacturing team that helps develop manufacturing trials, responsible for troubleshooting and process set-ups.
Essential Functions
• Provides manufacturing operations support and basic technical expertise.
• Ensures manufacturing processes are being optimized with regards to quality and throughput rates.
• Recommends and helps drive formula improvements along with equipment and engineering revisions.
• Works with production employees on trials, first-time runs and start-ups.
• Supports the plant process engineers in their daily tasks
• Assists in publishing trial run reports in a timely manner upon run completion.
• Coordinate publishing and set-up of process condition set-up sheets, updates critical process parameters & maintains accurate data in the database.
• Ensures proper support and information is available for all production campaigns including troubleshooting of process problems.
• Coordinate and administer process relevant training for production operators.
• Confirms process modifications with direct supervisor before taking action.
• Adheres to all Avient EHS policies and procedures
• May act as a back-up for shift supervisor/lead.

Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 7 years of Manufacturing experience

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
