The Macon plant was built in 1967. It manufactures egg cartons, lunch trays, and shake trays. The Macon plant has approximately 218 employees. Macon was awarded World-Class Safety in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. Macon also received the Operational Performance Plant of the year in 2015 and 2016 and Food Plant of the Year in 2016. The Macon plant has recently reached out to the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank and will be collecting canned and dried goods for the less fortunate.
ResponsibilitiesThe Plant Production Manager is responsible for managing and leading Production Supervisors to achieve essential Key Process Indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity and cost.
Schedule, track, & monitor production and costs to ensure unit meets established goals while maintaining a safe work environment and quality standards.Ensures leaders are driving Pactiv Evergreen initiatives.Drives and supports Pactiv Evergreen’s Production System.Supports safety improvement through behavioral and hazard recognition.Ensures the production of quality products that meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.Develops and improve quality systems that drives continuous improvement.Drives continuous improvement utilizing Pactiv Evergreen Production System to drive Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).Achieves pounds per man hour targets through overall labor management.Manages and develop Production Supervisors to achieve Production goals and objectives.Demonstrates a strategic approach to labor cost management.Drives cost improvement through overall volume achievement.Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.Maintains excellent safety record.Maintains excellent attendance record.Performs other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequirements:
Career expertise managing and leading teams in a manufacturing environment; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities requiring control of a mechanical process and inspection of product to meet quality standards.BA/BS in manufacturing, engineering, business or related field or equivalent, preferred.Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.Lean Methodologies or Continuous Process Improvement required.Must be results oriented with a high energy level for process and performance improvement; impatient with the status quo in the facility and willing to invest the time and effort necessary to facilitate changes.Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of statistical methods (FMEA, 5 WHY, Fishbone, A3) for root cause analysis problem solving and process improvement techniques (CAPA; corrective and preventive actions).Autonomous Maintenance and TPM experience is a plus.Must demonstrate proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite. SAP experience is a plusEffective team building and demonstrated leadership skills.Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels in the organization.Must have financial aptitude, analytical skills, proven leadership effectiveness.
