Plant Superintendent

Position Overview
The Plant Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, and safety compliance within a bakery manufacturing environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily operations of the plant to ensure efficiency and quality of production.Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines, including GMP, FDA, and USDA standards.Oversee personnel management, including training, performance evaluations, and workforce planning.Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.Develop and manage plant budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.Utilize ERP systems for inventory management, scheduling, and production planning.Analyze KPIs to drive decision-making and enhance operational performance.Coordinate root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in a bakery.Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to food production.Familiarity with CMMS, Quality Assurance, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.Excellent personnel management skills with experience in training and developing staff.Ability to plan, schedule, and manage production effectively.Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
