Position Overview:

Monday to Thursday from 7 am - 5.30 pm; Friday from 7 am - 3.30 pm

Provide overall direction and supervision of the plant facility.  Responsible for the development of all supervisors through training programs and to ensure that the plant has a trained and proficient workforce that accomplishes meeting department goals on quality, yield, productivity, cost, and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for the plant  operation and meeting department and company goals and standards on quality, yield, productivity, cost, and safety.Responsible for developing and training supervisors and employees, working within the guidelines of the Union contract and company policies.Responsible for quick and timely feedback to the plant manager on all exceptions regarding productivity, downtime, quality, yield, cost, safety, and turnover.Responsible for monitoring KPIs needed to control areas of responsibility.Enable a safety culture that ensures our employees work in an environment free of risks.Participates in department meetings in the planning processes and in the test and development of techniques/processes.Other duties as assigned.Member of safety committees. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Engineering preferred

• 7+ years of proven experience in the role of Plant Superintendent

• Proven leadership guiding cross functional teams

• LEAN Manufacturing Certification achieved and applied in proven experience

• Applied knowledge and/or Security certification

• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal)

• Proficient in Microsoft Package applications

• A strong attitude/disposition to achieve change and goals – “It CAN be done!”

• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues; strategic thinking is a must

• Openness and ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams and production team members

• Excellent communication skills and people oriented
