Primary Purpose\n
Guides and monitors staff, equipment and workload to ensure safe and timely completion of processes and projects at a Hazardous Waste Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility.\n
Essential Functions and Responsibilities\n\nEnsures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.\nSchedules, plans and directs employees in their assigned tasks ensuring production goals are met in an efficient manner\nEnsures all employees are working in a safe manner with any prescribed safety equipment required by regulations, company policies and procedures.\nDevelops, maintains and initiates reports on all activities on management review or required by regulations, company policies and procedures.\nParticipates in hiring, performance evaluations, disciplining, and promotion and termination decisions.\nTrains new employees in company and department procedures and monitors adherence.\nInterfaces with other areas and departments to ensure a smooth flow of product through the treatment cycle.\nMonitors equipment assigned to area. Performs equipment repairs and\/or notifies Plant Manager of contractor repair needs.\nMaintain inventory of operating supplies and orders as needed.\nMove semi-trailers and tankers from parking lot and docks as needed.\nPerform basic spill clean-up and housekeeping duties as directed.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\n

Education: High school Diploma or equivalent required.\n
Experience: Must have three years of related environmental experience at a supervisor level. 2 years of Safety, Health and Environmental experience is required. Tractor trailer\/yard truck and railcar operation experience preferred.\n
Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Must have excellent communication skills. Good knowledge of various federal, state and local industry related regulations. Must have the ability to wear PPE, including a full face respirator. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.\n
