Responsibilities

Position Summary

Supervises activities of Shop employees. Supports manufacturing and safety objectives.

 

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Leads the daily work of the team, including scheduling staff, planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring efficient work flowDirect employees in meeting quality and on-time delivery requirements, address production challenges, and communicate issues to relevant managersFollow the dispatch due dates and send repors with updates on the end of your shift to your manager and plant manager Partner with production department in managing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their responsibilities and delegated tasksLead 6S improvements with your manager and direct employess to reach the goal of 90 pointsProvides technical guidance to team members and consults with other resources when neededCommunicates with the Manager regarding schedules and backlogsAssists the Manager with selection and performance management of employees and recommending compensationRecommends equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, improvements in procedures and working conditions, and process modificationsMonitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coachingGives the team written and oral instructionsStandardizes procedures to improve efficiencyFollows departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous improvement objectives, and safety rulesMaintain timekeeping and attandance recods for your grups using UKGIssue corrective actions for employees who are not adhering to compony polices (safety,attandance etc)Ensures that employees are progressing on training plans to achieve higher levels of performance and production.Evaluates employee performance.Responsible for first line employee relations and resolution of issues within their departments.Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field a plusMinimum of 5 years of manufacturing experienceSupervisory experience a plusSupervisory skillsAbility to deal with conflicts and employee issues in a professional mannerTechnical orientation with ability to learn new technologiesComputer skills including MS OfficeAbility to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlinesTeam-oriented and collaborativeGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsCustomer service orientationProblem-solving and analytical skills
