Within the Sun Chemical - Color Materials site in Maastricht, we produce pigment preparations for plastics and intermediates for 3D printing with a team of about 90 people.

 

THE ROLE

 

Join our Plant Support team in Maastricht as Plant Support Engineer. You will be responsible for implementing process improvements for our plant in Maastricht, which arise from safety studies, incident investigations and technical failures concerning the production installations. This role includes the following tasks:

 

Introduction of new and improved products in the production, including the preparation of supporting documentation and procedures Support the introduction and optimization of new technologies to produce both existing as new products with these new technologies Support Industry Management team in developing new and improved products at laboratory and pilot scale Ensure continuous production flow by providing effective troubleshooting to minimize downtime caused by quality issues Conduct activities to optimize product cost structure and reduce processing costs through alternative and innovative techniques Perform Workplace Risk Assessments (WPRA) and other risk analysis in accordance with site EHS regulations/guidelines and the EHS-culture Participation in quality team meetings (MQT) and keep technical knowledge/expertise up to date by reading magazines, articles and patents and visiting fairs, seminars and exhibitions Initiate and oversee process changes (MoC), and train production operators and engineers during the introduction of new products

YOUR PROFILE

 

HBO or WO degree in the direction of Chemical Technology (or similar) Several years of work experience within Process Engineering. Strong communication skills and enjoy working together with various disciplines Knowledge of structural optimization processes like LeanSixSigma is an advantage. Fluency in Dutch and English (both spoken and written), German is a plus
