Role and Responsibilities
Support plant training needs, evaluate training initiatives, and maintain employee training records.
Collaborate with Department Managers and Supervisors to progressively train employees in their assigned departments.
Promote a training program to set employees up for success and provide resources for career growth.
Assist in defining, developing content, and driving the training, cross-training, and development program.
Work with managers, supervisors, and leads on training new employees and equipment.
Plan and schedule training sessions, suggesting changes to enhance department efficiency.
Develop a competent workforce through hands-on training methods.
Document and identify trends involving employees, tools, or tasks facing performance challenges.
Schedule additional training time for employees needing it and maintain training records.
Develop and revise training materials, including Standard Work, OPLs, and Skills Element Tree.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of training experience, with 2 years in manufacturing preferred.
High School, GED
Associates Degree to Technical Degree within industry, preferred.
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications.
Competent in the use of audiovisual equipment.
Strong interpersonal, facilitator, analytical, planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Highly motivated self-starter with demonstrated people and project leadership experience.
Ability to work across multiple shifts in a 24/7 operating environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and facilitator skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read, interpret documents, and speak effectively before groups.
Reasoning ability
Strong analytical and creative troubleshooting skills.
Utilize needs assessment to identify gaps and adapt training content and methods.
Communicate with employees at all levels for training accuracy.
Revise training materials to keep up with process improvements.
Other Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in using computers and industry-standard programs.
Effective teacher/trainer with good attendance, safety practices, and time management skills.
Solid mechanical aptitude with technical training or equivalent manufacturing experience.
Physical Demands
Move about the facility, stand, and walk up to 90 percent of the shift.
Use hands, reach, and occasionally lift to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include visual acuity with color perception.
