Utilize mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design, develop, and optimize plastic components and processes for manufacturing.

Conduct material testing to assess properties such as tensile strength, impact resistance, and thermal stability.

Evaluate and select appropriate plastic materials based on product specifications, performance criteria and environmental considerations (e.g., strength, flexibility, heat resistance, cost).

Develop and implement testing protocols to validate plastic components' performance and durability.

Use SolidWorks software to develop 3D models and conduct FEA simulations of plastic parts and assemblies.

Perform material flow analysis, mold development support, and tooling selection.

Ensure products meet regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, RoHS, ISO) and comply with industry certifications.

Contribute to complex product development programs by driving development and validation of the product or assemblies using standard methodologies like Concept Selection, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, and Design Validation Plans.

Lead simple 8D issue resolution projects.

Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using appropriate engineering software and tools.

Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose and implement design modifications.

Maintain accurate documentation of design, testing, and process development activities.

Prepare reports on material and process performance, as well as cost analysis and product improvement recommendations.

Stay up to date with the latest advancements, industry trends, and technological innovations in a chosen subject matter.
