**Hiring Plate Mounter** **Starting at 22-23/HR** **Job Description** Join our team as a Plate Mounter to ensure that ordering, inspection, care, and maintenance of plate inventory are appropriately managed. You will also be responsible for delivering quality plates to the mounting department and maintaining inventory of all print sleeves and bridge carriers. Your role will require you to ensure that mounting and plate technologies and processes are suitable for delivering quality mounts to the press. You will participate in Pre-Production meetings, Pre-flighting, and Prepro scheduling. Your role will also include reading and interpreting specifications on job envelopes, cleaning and preparing plates and sleeves for mounting, mounting backing and sleeves per instructions, wrapping and labelling the finished product, and loading on a cart for press or storage. You will inspect cylinders and gears for defects and report to the Shift Supervisor, demount cylinders as necessary, and maintain an organized, clean work area at all times. You will work in an environment where inks and solvents create a strong odor. The job requires frequent standing and walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and twisting. You should be able to stand for the duration of the shift (8+ hours/day) and repeatedly lift up to 80 pounds. The job may require you to operate an overhead hoist system to move cylinders weighing more than 200 pounds.
