Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Platform Administration team to provide stable / effective application platforms for McLane Company and provide maximize productivity through the use of technology.
This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations in order to develop scalable, maintainable, consistent, highly available system architectures that meet business objectives.Raise the quality and value of solutions and support services by utilizing improved project management, continued reporting of upcoming and completed upgrade activity. Coordinate upgrade activity with Application Owners from within Information Technology and Business teams to minimize planned and unplanned downtime.Research, Identify and Create automated installation processes for Operational Platforms.Implement, maintain, and validate Disaster Recover and Business Continuity procedures for Platform Applications, aligning with Business RPO / RTO requirements. Increase business users' awareness, up front, of solutions and changes to the environments. Foster a work environment with appropriate recognition of accomplishments, teamwork, and commitment.Manage activities of Platform Administration team and coordinate subject matter related requests to satisfy customer requirements in a timely manner.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
A teammate in this position must:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.Strong working knowledge of Server Operating Systems Windows / Linux.Experience with Java, MQ and experience one of the following: WebSphere Portal, Web Application Server technology (WebSphere, Tomcat, etc), or Cognos.Experience supporting Enterprise-wide distributed applications.Five years of broad-based experience leading infrastructure, security, database and operating system and hardware teams.Five years of experience leading a team with technically focused direct reports.Five years of experience managing a cost center including budgeting and purchase execution responsibility.Ability to work outside of normal business hours to support resolution of issues.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
