The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Role Purpose

Working under the umbrella of the Corning ERP Transformation team, support the multiyear multiple entity SAP ERP transformation strategy planning, program management office execution, and cross functional program alignment for the ‘Record to Report’ Value stream.

 

In partnership with IT solution architect, factory team, ERP change management lead, business power users and value stream lead, as well as related functional leads to facilitate SAP ERP transformation deployment projects from initiation through delivery with assigned work stream and functional lead responsibility. Focus on delivery of standard platform capability to business users, ensuring adoption from business of future platform and enable additional required capability through working closely with the Global template team.

Ensure quality platform solution deployment through design, testing, validation and migration protocols and knowledge transfer to operational receiver.

Key Responsibilities Step into ERP deployment project and work with IT and business counterparts as liaison to trace and track project work items progress. Lead/Participate business early engagement and business readiness phase with business and IT to bringing global template knowledge, gather business requirements, business cases, and identify potential gaps early and address through Enterprise Standards Board review and build into system for project delivery. Lead workstream/cross stream communication to ensure risk management assessment is conducted regularly and mitigation plans are identified to get program management office attention and support. Lead/participate Process, Security, Data, Reporting and potential WRICEF requirements management sessions. Manage assigned testing, training, data migration and cut over in partnership with appropriate stakeholders to address concerns and mitigate risk impacts. Act as system tester/validator where necessary

Travel Requirements:

 25% or less internationally/domestically.

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

Monday – Friday, standard business hours. Experiences/Education - Required Master’s degree in business management or industrial engineering with bachelor’s in computer science or information technology or closely related filed; master’s in computer science, information technology or closely related field Min 8 years of SAP functional or business consultant hands on experience Min 5 years of experience with SAP Controlling (SAP CO) in Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Product Cost Controlling, Profitability Analysis, and Profit Center accounting. Experience working on large-scale SAP FI projects in a dynamic environment delivering global solutions. Min 5 years of IT Project Management experience Hands on SAP configuration skills. Soft skills in project management such as streamlined and effective business communication, schedule and scope management, and risk management. Cross functional communication experience Min 5 years of experience using Planview/Microsoft Projects or similar project management tools experience

 

Desired & Soft Skills SAP certification Project Management certification Business analysis or supply chain management related certification Desire 12 years of SAP functional or business consultant experience in primarily SAP CO but also SAP FI working in large-scale projects in a dynamic environment while leading and delivering global solutions Desire an additional 5 years in business, supply chain, functional experience and/or business transformation experience and/or SAP business/functional consultant Culture change agent

 

Location can be based in Corning, NY, Charlotte, NC or remote.

The range for this position is $113,099.00 - $155,512.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
