About the Role & Program
The Disney Platform Distribution Sales team is seeking a Sales Coordinator Intern, who will be an outstanding addition to our team. Our Platform Distribution Sales team is responsible for distribution of content for the best brands in the business including ABC, ESPN, Disney+, and Hulu, working with leading media companies like Amazon, LG, DIRECTV, Dish, and Microsoft and in key strategic verticals such as retail, airlines and many more. Be a part of the team that negotiates complex distribution agreements for Disney’s linear networks, direct-to-consumer products, TV everywhere applications and video on-demand services.
You will play a supporting role in projects that help shape Disney Platform Distribution’s long-term strategy and assist with the team’s operational and administrative tasks. The right person for this role is an individual with strong acumen in the media landscape and can grow to manage various responsibilities of content distribution and audience growth partnerships including: business development & research, executing partnership strategies, managing processes, understanding contractual compliance as well as successfully managing accounts with internal constituents, including Content, Marketing, Technology, Finance and Legal departments to successfully drive Disney’s content distribution priorities.
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through August 2025.
What You Will Do
Own client management operations (e.g., client database, hospitality) to support Sales efforts across a diverse set of platform partners.
Monitor industry trends and compile resources and summaries for the team
Maintain resources related to key partners including deal summaries, weekly/monthly executive and team updates, industry overviews, and marketplace summaries informing deal strategies.
Support negotiations with key digital Multichannel Video Programming Distributors (MVPD), direct-to-consumer, and transactional stakeholders.
Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, legal, marketing, operations) to properly support deal flow.
Serve as a supportive member of the team while fostering an inclusive team culture for learning and growth.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Familiarity with the media landscape, including competitors and industry trends.
High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience (academic or internship) in business, finance, management consulting, strategy, law, or related industry
Experience in media, technology, and/or subscription business models
Experience in contract review and interpretation
Experience in and/or interest in media landscape & distribution
Education
Junior or Senior year preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through August 2025
Fully available to work 40 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, California area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour.
