As a Platform Engineer, you will collaborate with other platform leads, architecture leads, and project leads across various divisions and programs. You will influence (through hands-on collaboration and other means) the technical design and decisions related to data integration products like Data Observability or E2E Orchestration, and related AWS technologies, communicate and document along with other project and engineering teams, and adopt modern architecture and technology approaches.
Your responsibilities will be to:
Build and maintain the infrastructure required to host our data engineering ecosystem, including managing cloud resources, containerization, and orchestration.
Contribute actively to improving and scaling up the ecosystem via automation, an Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) approach, CI/CD deployments, etc.
Participate in setting the team goals, defining the roadmap, and planning the team activities
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers
Ensure strong documentation using collaborative tools such as Confluence & JIRA.
Expected Experience And Skills
Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AWS EKS) and AWS ECS
Hands-on experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Cloudbees CD)
Hands-on experience with IaC approach and tools, e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation etc.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional agile teams (Jira, Confluence)
Strong problem-solving and "can do" mindset
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Preferred Experience And Skills
Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
Experience with SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)
Programming experience (Python, Bash, Node.js, etc.)
Basic QA and testing knowledge
Know your way around Linux and the Unix Shell
Experience driving and/or influencing a technical community
