Technology Scope of Position
Technologies may include end user compute, collaboration & productivity, and directory services. The focus of this role is operating systems, device management, group policies, browsers, printers and administrative scripting.Solid knowledge of the following product space including Windows platform, Intune, Windows Update for Business, Autopilot, Group Policy, M365, Azure Active Directory, PowerShell
Responsibilities
Work on a team of 6 platform engineers and help prioritize work efforts, complete status reports, and communicate with program level senior management and federal stakeholdersPerform deployments, and troubleshoot complex issues in a large network environmentExperience with infrastructure systems administration, and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) server health checksWork in a large IT enterprise environment following SOP’s and Work Instructions to provide quality customer serviceProvide solutions to complex issues; handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentWork in a group setting and able to collaborate with remote personnel of various skill levels Work with minimal supervision, with attention to detail, and follow-throughEnsure the Change Management procedures are followedDevelop automate tools for information gathering and configuration changes to the desktop environmentProvide guidance and recommendation for user and machine Intune configuration policiesMaintain distribution points across all sites including vendor sites when necessaryWork closely with Application teams to test and approve new software being added to the buildsWork with Sr. Engineer to yearly review of Hardware standards and provide recommendation based on new modelsTroubleshoot complex application issues within the end user environmentMaintain currency in end user market trends and participate in industry workgroups as needed.Strong ability to identify issues in the environment and can efficiently communicate the issues with colleagues and upper managementProcess oriented and can document work processes and workflowsKnowledge of remote support tools +(e.g. Beyond Trust, Remote Help)Familiar with core technologies such as DNS, DHCP, storage and networkingBasic code skills in one of the following languages PowerShell/VBScript/PythonQualifications
Preferred Skills
5 years of experience in IT support or related fieldExperience in Systems Administration, including workstation & server troubleshootingMicrosoft Windows Desktop and Server OS knowledge (Win11, Server 2012 or higher)Experience using ticketing systems, such as ServiceNowIntune managing windows devices.#LI-JS3
