HOW A PLATFORM ENGINEER - INTERMEDIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Platform engineers enable application developers to put software into the hands of users in an easier manner. This is the case when there is integration between on premise systems and cloud services.  Platform engineers build systems that allow teams to build on. A platform engineer writes code that bridges the gap between software and hardware and tests the system so that it runs effectively and smoothly.Act as lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project. Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of network development from analysis of mission needs to verification of network performance.Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:  AS with 7 years of experience, or BS Degree with 5 years of experienceRequired Skillset:Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfacesCapture all interface designs in a common interface control format, and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository Clearance Level: TS/SCIRequired Certification(s):DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contractIAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalentComputing Env: MCSA Server 2016  (You can start with the first exam completed (70-740) and must obtain the full MCSA Server 2016 within 180 days from start date.)Desired Computing Environment certification: MCSA 2016/2019/Azure, Linux+, VCP-DCV 2020-2022, etc.​Location: On Customer SiteAdditional:Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contractPosition may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activityTravel may be required to support the mission
