A well-known Healthcare organization is looking for a fulltime Platform Security Engineer to secure, monitor and maintain their Cloud Platform environments. The company has an impressive track record with over a century of providing superior medical support to the Chicagoland Area. The Platform Security Engineer will be proficient in multiple cloud environments, including AWS, GCP and Azure. The role also requires a complete understanding of implementing Security Measures as well as Monitoring and Threat Protection.

Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field 3+ years of Platform or DevSecOps Experience Deep knowledge of Security and Monitoring Protocols and Software Proficiency in GCP, AWS or Azure Strong background in IaC including Terraform Desired Skills & Experience Experience with Laceworks or Checkov Proficiency working with compliance software Security or Cloud certifications Time management skills What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown 60% Cloud Platform Engineering (GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes) 40% Security and Monitoring (DataDog, Vanta, Prometheus) Daily Responsibilities Create comprehensive risk assessments to ensure regulatory compliance (HIPPA, SOC2) Implement Monitoring and Security tools across cloud infrastructure Create and deploy automations to streamline work Maintain and update CI/CD pipelines Create or improve implement response plans to mitigate system risk Facilitate system wide updates or maintenance The Offer
