Position Summary:

Level One: Selected candidates for Plating Operator Level 1 (entry level) position will learn tasks that support the Plating department. A Level 1 Plating Operator will be expected to perform a variety of support functions which include but are not limited to racking, unracking, and cleaning of production aerospace parts. Candidates must be self-disciplined and self-motivated individuals with strong accountability (attention to details) skills. Candidates must have the ability and desire to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment, be resourceful and innovative along with presenting a strong business ethic and compliance to leadership and company policies, and a good communicator with the ability to represent the company in a positive manner. Other responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as adherence to organization safety rules and regulations. Level 1 Plating Operators will also be performing verifications ensuring that all traces of organic soils, fingerprints, dirt and dust etc. are removed by using solvent cleaners.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.Adheres to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.Correctly access and interpret documentation (C-Specs, etc.)Lift up to 45lbs (Repetitive)Able to work overtime as neededPerform basic racking and loading of product (Basic Washes)Make basic chemical additions (Soaps etc.)Meet area/product specific production standardsComplete process and operation documentation (Traceability, etc.)Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

 

Required Skills:

 

The ability to read and write English.The ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimalsThe ability to use basic inspection tools such micrometersThe ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents - basic computer skillsThe ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions

 

Experience & Education
