Responsibilities The Playcare Attendant's typical job functions include: Helping plan and prepare materials for activities, implementing activities for the children, and attentively watching and attending to the children ages 3-12 Reading to children, and teaching them simple painting, drawing, handcrafts, and songs Providing a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use for imaginative play Organizing and participating in recreational activities, such as games Organizing and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas Maintaining a clean, safe and fun child care environment Assisting children in getting dressed for their afternoon SnowSports lessons after activities are finished, attending to children’s needs throughout the day; restroom break, napping or staying with children who are not participating while their class is outside Enforcing all administration policies and rules governing students Ensuring safe play conditions and follows established security procedures Qualifications This position may be for you if: You are over 18 years old You have achieved a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) You have experience working with children ages 3-12 You possess strong public relations skills and excellent communications skills You have the ability to work well with children ages 3-12 and display patiences You have the ability to move and react quickly to a variety of circumstances You are able to frequently walk, stand, sit, talk and lift often as the job requires
