Our client, a manufacturer of precision electric motors and motion solutions, is seeking a PLC Design Engineer to join their team. As a PLC Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting automation and control system development. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** PLC Design Engineer
**Location:** Houston, TX
**What’s the Job?**
+ Develop and implement PLC programs tailored to industrial automation requirements.
+ Design control panels, system architecture, and electrical schematics in compliance with U.S. standards.
+ Program PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider) and integrate them with SCADA/HMI systems.
+ Test, debug, and troubleshoot systems to ensure reliable performance.
+ Commission systems at client facilities, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
**What’s Needed?**
+ Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent experience).
+ 1-5 years of experience in PLC programming, design, and commissioning.
+ Expertise in PLC platforms like Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider Electric.
+ Strong understanding of SCADA/HMI systems and industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
+ Experience with AutoCAD, E-Plan, or SolidWorks is a plus.
