**Job Title: PLC Technician**
**Job Description**
This is a controls position where candidates will work with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), 480-volt systems, and perform tasks such as unwiring and rewiring equipment. The role involves frequent troubleshooting and repairing of motors, proximity switches, and photo eyes. Opening electrical panels for troubleshooting is a necessary skill. While programming changes through the PLC are not required, the ability to recognize potential issues is beneficial.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work with VFDs and 480-volt systems.
+ Unwire and rewire equipment as needed.
+ Troubleshoot and repair motors, proximity switches, and photo eyes.
+ Open electrical panels and perform troubleshooting.
+ Identify potential issues related to PLC programming.
**Essential Skills**
+ Maintenance technician experience.
+ Maintenance mechanic skills.
+ Maintenance electrician knowledge.
+ Industrial maintenance expertise.
+ PLC troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience with Siemens systems.
+ Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ Proficiency with drives, motors, and sensors.
+ Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
+ 3-phase 480V experience.
**Work Environment**
The job operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with 2nd shift hours from 2 PM to 10:30 PM. As this is a food company, proper PPE is required, including hair/beard nets, steel-toe shoes, gowns, safety glasses, and earplugs. The company provides all necessary tools and PPE. The culture is safety-focused, with monthly safety talks with teammates.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
