**Job Title: PLC Technician**
**Job Description**
The PLC Technician will be responsible for the selection, installation, programming, documentation, training, and knowledge of all plant instrumentation and automatic devices. They will also handle all computer integration related to PLCs, HMIs, and process controls within the facility. Additionally, they will act as the plant liaison for new system startups and commissioning by all outside controls contractors.
**Responsibilities**
+ Demonstrate behaviors in support of company safety procedures with a focus on zero injuries.
+ Support quality work processes including documenting and tracking production variables, downtime, and product samples.
+ Ensure proper blending of raw materials by weight or automatic metering systems, and follow and document time and temperature points in recipe specifications to meet quality standards.
+ Actively support the ConAgra Performance System-CPS and High Performance Work Systems including 5s, working in teams, problem-solving, six sigma, TPM training, continuous skills development-CSD, auditing, and planned or autonomous maintenance-AM.
+ Comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
+ Follow up with outside services.
+ Oversee control work done by Maintenance Technicians, providing direction or following up in their absence.
+ Train production operators, maintenance technicians, production staff, and managers on newly installed or modified process or utility control systems, including documenting operational procedures, as-built drawings, and logic.
+ Ensure outside controls contractors and Systems Integrators provide fully documented PLC programs and training for all Maintenance and Operations personnel involved.
+ Interact effectively and professionally with coworkers.
+ Perform all skills as outlined on the Skills Element Tree.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 2 years of experience with pressure controls, control circuits, programmable controllers, drive units, variable frequency drives, scales, monitoring systems, sensors, and security systems in an industrial environment.
+ Experience with Servo Motors and drives.
+ Vision System experience.
+ Extensive PLC troubleshooting experience.
+ Extensive troubleshooting experience.
+ Experience with pressure, flow, temperature, and level transmitters.
+ Working knowledge of MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
+ Auto CAD experience.
+ Associate's Degree or equivalent.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with mixing, filling, packaging, casing, and palletizing equipment.
+ Ability to interpret technical information.
+ College degree or certification preferred.

**Work Environment**
This is a first shift position. The role involves frequent sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs during duty hours. You must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally, including overhead.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $39.25 - $39.25
