PLC Technician
**Job Title: PLC Technician** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled PLC Technician with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an industrial capacity. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading a volt meter, performing single and 3-phase motor replacements, diagnosing and refurbishing pumps, and wiring and replacing 3-phase motors. Experience in the food industry and VFD troubleshooting are a plus, but not mandatory. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. + Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment. + Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. + Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs. + Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. + Ensure proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) procedures are followed. + Keep shop and production areas clean after repairs. + Comply with OSHA safety and health rules. + Maintain a professional working relationship with vendors. + Be proactive in identifying maintenance needs and promote a team approach to fulfilling these needs. + Participate in developing and maintaining plant safety awareness. + Support company priorities by looking for ways to improve safety, quality, and waste reduction/productivity. + Represent the company and yourself in a professional manner at all times. **Essential Skills** + Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, AC/DC motors. + Ability to read a volt meter. + Proficiency in single and 3-phase motor replacements. + Experience diagnosing and refurbishing pumps. + Experience wiring and replacing 3-phase motors. + 2-5 years of experience in an industrial capacity. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in the food industry (preferred but not required). + VFD troubleshooting experience is a plus. + Electrical experience. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers significant opportunities for upward growth due to our size and the willingness of our plant engineer to train employees in areas where they may be weak. The work involves maintaining a clean and safe shop area and production areas after repairs, complying with OSHA safety and health rules, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) procedures. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of COMMERCE, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
