PLC Technician
Job Title: PLC Technician

This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining all the manufacturing equipment within the production areas. The role involves starting up the equipment, going through ladder logic, maintaining machinery in optimum condition, and providing technical assistance to operators and supervisors on various mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic problems. You will diagnose, repair, and replace electrical components for numerous types of manufacturing equipment, including variable speed motors, VFDs, Micromaster drives, encoders, contractors, relays, and related software programs.

ResponsibilitiesStart up the equipment and go through ladder logic.Maintain machinery and equipment in optimum working condition.Provide technical assistance to operators and supervisors on mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic problems.Recommend replacement of equipment and schedule and perform preventative maintenance.Diagnose, repair, and replace electrical components for various manufacturing equipment.Solve electrical problems with control wiring and board repairs.Use all electrical measurement devices and mechanic tools.Read and interpret equipment operation and parts manuals, electrical schematics, and perform computer tasks related to work.Troubleshoot, repair, and install low and high voltage (single, three phase) industrial electromechanical and control systems for utility and production equipment.Install, wire, and maintain relays, photo-eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, solenoid valves, motors, starters, VFDs, PLC I/O modules, analog control devices, safety circuits.Layout circuits, install fixtures, bend and run conduit, install motors, and other electrical devices and components.Essential Skills10+ years of experience working as a PLC Technician in an industrial manufacturing environment.PLC wiring and troubleshooting experience.Mechanical troubleshooting experience.Ability to perform mechanical work, including valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, and electrical lube routes.Experience reading blueprints and schematics.Must provide own basic tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with industrial, manufacturing, electrical, VFD, PLC, electrician, electrical automation, and troubleshooting.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.00
