Job Description
You will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on equipment used in the production process. You will work directly with the Engineering team to supervise and improve processes for output and waste levels. Additionally, you will provide leadership and ownership of process performance issues, reporting directly to Production Maintenance (engineering) and indirectly to Production.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain all electrical systems used on all production equipment.Perform preventive maintenance on designated production equipment as specified in the PM Program or as needed to ensure smooth operation.Assist Engineering with the installation, debugging, and start-up of equipment, and maintain and adjust vision systems within defined parameters.Maintain equipment logs on assigned equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems.Document all process changes using approved control change procedures.Ensure all safety and environmental procedures are maintained.Provide Production Supervisors with relevant information on equipment and process performance, including production and waste information.Provide leadership to other associates in problem solving of production equipment.Coordinate and support other maintenance activities as required.Essential SkillsPLC experienceAbility to read and troubleshoot electrical systems using drawingsProficiency in multimeter troubleshooting to identify voltage issuesMechanical experience with hydraulics and vacuum pumpsExperience with roller and materials conveyorsAbility to replace gear boxes, conveyors, and rebuild conveyorsKnowledge of servo motor replacement and general maintenanceUnderstanding of CAM operationsElectrical experience from 24V up to 480VExperience with AB PLCs, including VFD and relay understandingAbility to use ladder logic and change programs as neededAdditional Skills & QualificationsRobotics experience is helpful but not necessaryMechanical aptitude with an electronic focusWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
You will work 8pm-8am on a 3, 2, 2, 3 schedule. Training will be 8am-4pm (M-F) for about 8-10 weeks, after which you will transition to the 8pm-8am shift. The plant operates 24/7 with about 900 employees, making it a large work environment. This is a direct hire position. The department you will work in is responsible for assembling devices used to draw blood into test tubes.
