PLM Data Migration Lead

The Wabtec IT Application team’s mission is to create long term, sustainable value for Wabtec through collaborative business partnership, creative solutioning, strong execution, and stable operations of our application platforms & products.   

In this role, you will be responsible for defining the strategy and maintaining Argos and PLM Data Migration systems in alignment/support of critical business strategies on IT Technical. Facilitates continues process improvements within your team.  Collaborate with business team and other IT teams, ensure project schedules are properly estimated and controlled.

This position will report to the Argos & PLM Data Migration Architect.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy & PlanningWork closely with TeamCenter Transit PLM Manager to determine project scope and vision.Collaborate with Business, cross-functional teams, and assigned Technical and Functional Leaders to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, and timing for new initiatives.Organize and coordinate projects and provide strategic guidance to teams.

Operational ManagementClearly identify projects stakeholders and keep them abreast and engaged.Assume responsibility for the project’s people and vendors.Manage project teams for optimal return on investmentCoordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.Resolve projects higher scope issues.Prepare reports for program director.Monitor the outputs and outcomes of a project's component activities and ensure that the project adapts appropriately to them.Coordinate the management of complex issues that may arise as projects seek to deliver benefits.Ensure the user requirements are understood and agreed uponFollow ITIL processes for deployment of code to Test and Prod environmentsDevelop the necessary Coding, debugging using relevant programming languages to fulfill the user requirements Support and improve tooling for continuous build, automated testing, and release managementMake technology choices at an individual product level and has the ability to analyze and measure impactImplements Continuous Integration/Deployment build principlesProvide expertise in quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software projectBuild and maintain documentation related to build processes and product environmental configurationsSupport PLM data integration activities (migration, improvement, and creation of migration tools)Support the team with compliance and audit activities (SOX...)Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.Approximately 5+ years of experience in related IT roles Able to exhibit a progression of increasingly complex job responsibilities during the period for large global organizationsThe candidate should have 2-4 years of experience in Designing and developing application/script using JavaScript and PHP (or similar) solutions is required.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of PLM systems and associated business processes (Engineering /manufacturing)Able and willing to travel, occasionally internationally, up to 15%
