PLS Manager (Regional)

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a PLS Manager (Regional).

What you’ll do:

Job Summary: The role is responsible for the PLS function across all Circuit Protection Solutions (CPS) locations, including Haina, Dominican Republic, and Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. The primary purpose is to lead engineering and sustaining engineering improvement strategies, supervise PLS Managers, provide technical direction, drive certification processes, and improve product line metrics. The role also oversees MET Lab activities and collaborates with other departments to resolve issues related to yield, quality, warranty, and regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the RWD PLS Engineering team, focusing on product performance, supply chain resiliency, certification compliance, and capacity expansion.
Provide technical direction for production line needs, including product performance and component replacements.
Develop team talent through training plans and goal execution.
Oversee UL follow-up activities, ensuring proper testing and preventive actions.
Coordinate PLS Engineering activities with plant leadership to align resources and improve processes.
Liaise between divisional and site engineering teams to drive preventive actions and systemic improvements.
Support new product development and capacity expansion with accurate product information.
Manage deviation and change order processes within Enovia.
Promote the use of Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma tools.
Support VAVE cost-out and NPI initiatives.
Implement engineering changes related to product improvements and external agency requirements.
Drive a digital mindset to increase process efficiencies.
Foster collaboration across all RWD CPS locations.
Ensure compliance with EQMS, ECIS, and Prolaunch procedures.
Develop profit plans for equipment and capital requests.

Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial, electrical, mechanical, mechatronic, or electromechanical engineering. Master’s degree preferable.
Experience: Minimum 10 years in manufacturing environments.
Technical Knowledge: Design skills for electro-mechanical products, drawing design and interpretation, bilingual (English/Spanish), technical problem-solving, understanding product requirements, EHS safe work practices, ISO 9001/EQMS Internal Auditor, PC knowledge (Microsoft Office, Minitab, Power Bi, AS400), Lean Tools, Six Sigma (DMAIC and Design for Six Sigma), SPC.
