JOB SUMMARY: 

The Plumber ensures safe, efficient operation of all Public Restrooms, plumbing fixtures, pumping equipment, kitchen equipment and other related systems. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

Responsible for preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance of all equipment.   Applies operational procedures as required by state and local codes.   Maintains log of all equipment status and inventory of parts and materials necessary for repairs.   Keeps all equipment, equipment rooms and other assigned areas clean.   Performs operation and regular preventive maintenance of all plumbing and kitchen equipment.   Maintains inventory of supplies.   Responsible for preventive and regular maintenance of all equipment.   Assists all other trades in the Facilities Department as directed by Shift Supervisor.   A security escort is required should these persons perform these job functions in a restricted casino area.  Performs duties as assigned, always presenting oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

High school graduate preferred.   Minimum three years experience working with pumping  equipment, plumbing and other related systems.   Must possess a Plumbing License issued by the City of New Orleans.  Must possess a valid Louisiana Drivers License.  Must possess strong communication skills.   Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.  Must present a well-groomed appearance. 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:  

Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino, and work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.   Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.   Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned task.  Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, climb ladders and work on man-lift type equipment.   Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.   Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.  Must be able to read and understand Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical plans.
