Job Overview:

Performs major and minor pipe repairs and/or installations of liquid, air steam, oil lines, etc., throughout Facility.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School/Vocational School graduate or equivalent with courses in blueprint reading, plumbing, mathematics. Plumbing education with certification.Completion of apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training.Three to five years as a painter

Certifications and Licenses Required:

New Jersey Drivers LicenseValid NJ Plumbers License Preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

Full-TimeDays40 hous/week

Essential Functions:

All work performed shall meet or exceed codes and/or standards for the industry and manufacturers specifications must be met. Normally acceptable methods for installation, repair and maintenance of equipment, appliances, and/or systems shall be evident at all times.Performed skilled tasks such as repairs and adjustments necessary for proper operation of mechanical, H.V.A.C., plumbing but not limited to the following and in the priority instructed by supervision. Knowledge in all phases of heating, air conditioning, hydraulics, vacuum, thermostatic, water and sanitary cycles and practical pipe layout work.High, medium, and low pressure heating and processing system installation knowledge.Capable of repairing boilers, pumps, air compressors, water softeners, etc.,.Extensive knowledge of plumbing codes.Capable of soldering welding and brazing all types of metals.Responds immediately to alarms throughout the facility.Maintains chlorine equipment and makes adjustments/repairs as needed so that patient safety and comfort is not compromised.Performs preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment according to established procedures; inspects, calibrates, adjusts, lubricates, replaces filters and repairs and replaces components.
