**Job Title: Hospital Plumber**
**Job Description**
The hospital plumber repairs and maintains piping systems and plumbing fixtures, ensuring all plumbing components are functioning properly. This role involves inspecting connections for leaks, replacing defective pipes, and maintaining various plumbing systems and fixtures within the hospital.
**Responsibilities**
+ Inspect connections and other parts for leaks; replace defective pipes and solder or caulk leaks and broken pipes.
+ Cut, bend, and thread pipe; fit valves and couplings to pipe sections by screwing, bolting, or soldering.
+ Wipe lead joints and install plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, emergency eye-washes, special laboratory equipment, and water heaters.
+ Rough-in plumbing and clear clogged lines.
+ Repair autoclaves, other sterilizing equipment, hot water units, and gas heaters, checking for safe operation.
+ Assist in estimating and maintain required time and material records for each job.
+ Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and protect job sites from sewer line discharge or spillage.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in plumbing and facilities maintenance.
+ Proficiency in installation, unclogging sinks, drains, and toilets.
+ Skilled in pipe fitting, PVC, and blueprint reading.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems.
+ Experience with preventive maintenance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with electrical systems (installing, testing, maintaining, and diagnosing electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, fixtures, components, and systems).
+ Knowledge of control systems (sensors, limit switches, solenoids, motors).

**Work Environment**
Work inside a hospital with a team size of 15-20 members. The hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm some days, and 3:30 pm to 11:00 pm on other days. Flexibility in working hours is required.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00
