Performs multiple aspects of plumbing and pipefitting work for either maintenance, new construction, or remodeling of Corewell Health facilities. Ensures that all plumbing work complies with applicable codes and standards, as well as obtaining proper permits as required. Carries out other duties as assigned.
Essential FunctionsInspects sites and plans jobs, material procurement, install, repair, replacement or modification, for commercial plumbing systems or other specialty systems.
Troubleshoot and analyze faulty systems/plumbing components, and repair or replace as necessary.
Performs Preventative Maintenance on all plumbing systems.
Read and interpret blueprints or other mechanical drawings to determine materials needed and job procedures for a project, also determine if special tools or equipment required.
Prioritizes work load and responds to all emergency plumbing calls.
Completes daily activity paperwork as well as tracks time and material, for projects or work orders.
Field checks construction projects to ensure that work performed is installed per design and meets proper code requirements as well as Corewell Health standards.
Assists contractors and construction plumbers with system shutdowns.
Knows the appropriate use of hand and power tools that are used in the plumbing trade.
Follows safe work practices and prevents working in unsafe work conditions.
Must be eligible for overtime status. Is able to work reasonable extended hours to accomplish priority repairs and to fill in for disaster, vacation or illness coverage.

5 years of relevant experience
LIC-Plumber - STATE_MI State of Michigan
LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan
Preferred
Healthcare facility experience
Continuing education degree
