**Job Title: Plumber (EGS)**
**Job Summary:** E **MCOR Government Services has a need for a Plumber with domestic water backflow certifications in the DC, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area** . This is a supporting role to our existing contracts with the Government and Commercial sites in the DMV area. Joining a specialized team of various trade personnel to provide unique, backfill, and surge response when called upon. The position will be outfitted with a van and necessary tools to perform the work listed below. This position falls under a CBA with Local 99
**Duties and Responsibilities** :
+ Primary duty will be to test and certify domestic water backflow preventers of varying sizes
+ Repair and / or replace domestic water backflow preventers
+ File/Submit all certifications and required forms with the appropriate agencies/jurisdictions
+ Perform preventive maintenance of various plumbing assets as needed
+ Perform plumbing related repairs/replacements/new installation as needed
+ Aid other departments with asset inventory projects as needed
+ Work independently or in a team
+ Assist our warehouse staff on down days when necessary
**Qualifications** :
+ **Must possess and maintain a Plumbing License - either Journeyman’s or Master’s**
+ **Must possess and maintain Backflow Preventer Certification, primarily in DC but also can include Maryland and Virginia**
+ **Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain at minimum a Secret Clearance**
+ Three (3) or more years’ experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building equipment to include but not limited to:
+ Backflow Preventers
+ Pumps, Tanks and Water Heaters
+ Filtration and Treatment Systems
+ Various plumbing fixtures, piping and valves
+ LP Gas Systems
+ Demonstrate the ability to read and understand Blueprints, schematics and specifications
+ Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of plumbing equipment and tools of the trade
+ Must be able to meet changing priorities, deadlines, and travel on short notice
+ Ability to work unusual hours when necessary
+ Self-directed and self-learning
+ Clear communicator both verbal and written
+ Ability to use technology such as mobile devices, phones, tablets, and computers
+ Must possess and maintain a current driver’s license; and obtain and maintain approval to drive an EMCOR vehicle
**Physical Demands:**
+ Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs. / push up to 100 lbs.)
+ Prolong, extensive or considerable standing/walking
+ Push/pull or move/lift equipment, supplies and parts
+ Manual dexterity and mobility
+ Considerable climbing, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching
**Added Skills / Qualifications a Plus but Not Necessary:**
+ Experience with hot water boilers
+ Experience with sprinkler systems to include a NICET certification (any level)

**Compensation Range: $41 / hr. - $46 / hr.**
**Other Compensation: this is not bonus or commission applicable**
