Overview

It will be the Plumber/Fitter's responsibility to assess, perform and/or recommend solution pertaining to all plumbing tasks. All tasks will be performed in compliance with all applicable codes, guidelines, and governing agencies.

 

This is a Varied Shift role at our main campus in KCMO. Shift Differential paid for hours after 3:00pm!

 

The ideal candidate will have the following preferred certifications upon hire:

Backflow Preventer Certification preferredMedical Gas Certification preferred

Responsibilities Plumbing Troubleshooting and Repair. This includes, but is not limited to tasks such as:  repair of all water and drainage systems, repair or replacement of all plumbing fixtures, repair of all medical gas lines and fixtures, repair or replacement of all water pumping equipment, etc. Installation of new plumbing and fixtures. This task includes the installation  of new piping and/or fixtures in accordance with all manufacture’s instruction, all applicable codes and supervisor’s and/or director’s instructions. Preventative maintenance of all plumbing and support items. This task include, but is not limited to the inspection of all backflow  prevention,  vacuum breaker systems, emergency drainage systems, hot water systems, etc.  This also includes performing the proper documentation and recording it with the proper parties.Maintenance and installation of Medical Gas Systems. This task includes the maintenance and repair of existing, and installation of new, medical gas piping and/or outlets in accordance with all manufacture’s instruction, all applicable codes, and supervisor’s and/or director’s instructions.Drain Auguring and Jetting. This function includes, but is not limited to the auguring of drain lines which are stopped, jetting of slow draining lines, operating equipment safely, clean-up of work area, and follow-up inspections.

 

Qualifications High School diploma, or equivalent, and 5-7 years' experienceBackflow Preventer Certification preferredMedical Gas Certification preferred

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $26.30/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
