Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.

Maintains building components such as Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Variable Refrigerant Flow, Steam, Hot Water, gas, Building Automation, Energy Management, and Work Order Management systems.

Maintains building plumbing components.  

Works with other trades as necessary to complete projects.  

Installs, repairs, inspects, and maintains safe and efficient operation of including, but not limited to: sanitary waste, storm drainage, water supply, medical and natural gas, process piping and fire sprinkler systems.  

Perform Preventive Maintenance Measures. 

Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies. 

Log daily reading of equipment and systems as assigned. 

Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority.

Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly

 

Qualifications/Training: Associate Degree/Apprenticeship Program and minimum of 6 years of experience maintaining commercial/industrial plumbing systems. In lieu of an Associate Degree/Apprenticeship Program, 10 years of maintaining commercial/industrial plumbing systems will be accepted.  Must be able to demonstrate general personal computer data entry proficiency and basic control diagnostic procedures.

 

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education*: If the operation of a McLeod owned or leased vehicle is required; must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving record. 

Certifications: 

SC Backflow Tester ASSE 6040 Med Gas Municipal Association of South Carolina Journeyman (Plumbing or Pipe Fitter)

*maybe completed within 6 months of starting position
