Job Description
We are seeking experienced Pipefitters and Plumbers with a strong understanding in commercial construction for new construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, be proficient in copper brazing, and possess their own tools. This role involves working on all phases of plumbing or pipe fitting, from rough-ins to trim and fixture installations.
ResponsibilitiesPerform commercial plumbing tasks in new construction, including rough-ins and trim/fixture installs.Cut and thread pipe as needed.Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.Proficiently handle rough-ins above ground, including installing vents, sewers, connections, and waterlines.Complete finish installations and connections, including toilets, sinks, showers/bathtubs, and hardware.Install domestic water and sanitary systems.Install fixtures, hangers, and pipe.Repair pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems according to specifications or plumbing codes.Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels.Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and appliances such as dishwashers, water heaters, sinks, and toilets.Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components.Essential SkillsMinimum 5 years of experience in commercial plumbing for new construction.Proficiency in copper brazing.Ability to cut and thread pipe.Capability to read and interpret blueprints/specifications.Experience with domestic water and sanitary systems.Knowledge of plumbing codes and specifications.Proficiency in assembling and installing pipe sections, tubing, and fittings.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with brazing, soldering, and plumbing construction.Familiarity with cast iron and commercial construction.Ability to direct and oversee helpers in plumbing tasks.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
